I'm sure for little boys, injuries like these are quite common. But for my careful little Belle, busted lips are very rare. Sunday at church she turned to Aron (who was still on stage), and said, "Bye-bye daddy, be right back." The problem was, as she was turned, she started walking and stepped right off the stage, landing flat on her face. Below is the result - 2 days after the fact.
She's been babying it a little as certain foods tend to cause it to sting, but she's fine. I just hope it heals soon. We were Christmas shopping last night, and everyone kept looking at us like we beat her (Well, she did have a strapless dress on in 20 degree weather...but she wore a coat & sweater into the store, honest! I can't keep sweaters on the child!) So perhaps she did appear a little neglected...but appearances are deceiving!

WOW - I cannot believe that it is still that big! Yikes! Sophie's owies don't even look that bad and her fall was just yesterday! Poor sweet girl ... we missed ya this wee Belle!
